There are issues in both public schools that allow and do not allow uniforms, same thing goes with private schools. To a point kids are kids but I am really at the point right now that with a public school spending more on my child's clothes (even with his father) than my own waredrobe (and his fathers combine). With such a cruddy economy right now, how is this helping those who can barely afford the uniforms to start with and why in the heck should people have to cough up for uniforms rather than just dressing their child in certain clothes (I understand certain types of clothing omitted, but seriously, a dress code and uniforms for a public school)?
