Default What is the maximum data transfer rate in wireless technology that exists now?

I wish to know about wireless technology. can anyone tell me, what is the maximum speed of data transfer that exists now? If so please leave a message about the data transfer rate and the corresponding technology.

Wireless technology is now evolving rapidly, we have many new technologies like wireless usb, UWB etc they have a target of 2 Gbps but around 54mbps is easily available now and around 460mbps is available is some special equipments.

Wireless is the wire killer. I love it and will always adapt it. These days, It is fairly better and getting almost at par with the 100mbit network routers. 54mbit is just half of it, its better to look at it today.

Considering 100mbit is actually 12.6Megabytes per second (if i remember correctly)
.. so it would be just roughly 6MB/sec, not that bad really.

I think there are wireless communication and data transfer techniques that is capable of sending information in the rate of about 440mbits per second. But they function in the licensed band. There are works going on for 1 Gigabit transfer also for military purposes..

Really? Have we progressed up to 440mbit already? I was completely unaware we were even close to that, I thought we were still at good old wireless N levels of like 110, if I'm honest. Now we need internet speeds to catch up :P
