Default Will You Be Getting Windows 7?

I'm curious, of everyone here, who will be upgrading to Windows 7?
I think I will, becuase Vista is doing my head in, it's a pain in the ass operating system. That said, there's a chance I'll wait for the new chrome OS, because that does look really good.

Do you know if it's possible to upgrade from Vista to 7, or whether you have to do a fresh install likee I read on wherever it was?

After hearing so many horrible stories about Vista, I just never switched. I am still using XP, but will definitely give 7 a try. My cousin is a beta tester and it looks awesome. I am not sure how the upgrade works, but I would assume someone could do it for you for a fee.

I got my copy of Windows 7 yesterday and I installed it on my computer. It runs beautifully like what I expected. I played games mostly on my computer. It has the new DirectX to go very well with newly released games. I also got faster boot time than Vista. Overall, the installation was easy, didn't take a very long time. I suggest an upgrade to 7 from Vista users. You'll see a very major performance increase.

FYI I use Vista Ultimate 64-bit and I do a fresh install on the hard drive.

I'm using Win.7 Ultimate RC.

not too bad. faster than XP better looking than Vista.
There are some problem with some Software compability, though it can be fixed by using Compability troubleshoot.
It's a big improvement after Shitty Vista. if you have your VM on Mac try Win.7 on it.

To be honest, MacOS is still the best for me.

You are still using the RC version? Isn't that the beta version. Just a reminder that the RC version of the 7 cannot be used until Mid 2010. The product key simply won't work. The final version of the 7 is out now (well, not officially released, but you can order now), why not buy and upgrade it? Save you lots of trouble.

I agreed with you in terms of Mac OS is still the best OS out there. Haha!

Haha. If you are a student, you can get Windows 7 Home for student for $29. Well that is offered by my college here in states. Pretty cheap though. I think it's a good deal even though it's still a Windows.
