I guess there are examples of this happening in fashion and culture now, but I've never really thought about how far it could go if it kept on into the future.
I think it would be a very big step to carry on over to the biological level. |

Indeed that would be a big leap in the future, but as I said it had to take probably hundreds of thousands of years. That may be too long a period to really foresee but the organs become vestiges due to ages of disuse.

Would we really want this to happen though?
I don't think we can even call it a natural process of evolution. I think science is already getting far too involved in biology within humans. There are clinics here where you can go along and choose the sex of your baby. I just don't think it's right.

I don't think it will ever happen. There are just too many differences between the sexes that we cannot just get rid of. Men and women think differently. Women are more sensitive to touch than men, woman also have different emotional reactions to some stimuli than men do. I just don't think we will ever evolve past that.

Yes but don't you think that more men are preferring to be with other men and more women with other women nowadays? Maybe it's just that they can be more extrovert about it but it seems to me that there are developing two separate sets of couples for whom procreation is not the reason that they want to be together.
