Which operating system are you using? I'm about to get a new computer with Win 7 so am anxious to learn as much as I can about it. I'm still on Win98. Is anyone using Vista and not upgrading to Win7?

Ditch the Windows. I'm done troubleshooting with Windows and I moved on to Mac! Windows sucks period.

If you really really want Windows, get the 7. Its 2345678765432134567 times better than Vista.

I'm still using Vista and I don't plan to upgrade until I need another PC as I'm perfectly happy. I have heard that W7 is really good but, as I don't need the specific new functions, I don't mind waiting. I'd imagine, if you are still on W98, you will find W7 much faster and better!

I am still using Windows XP Professional and I have no complaints about it. But I am thinking of getting a new laptop and choose the Win7 operating system.

XP Professional and 7 would be a great transition. Ditch Vista!

Right now I still have Vista on this machine and I am not sure if its worth upgrading to7 or not. My hubby just got a new laptop for work since his old one is a few years too old to justify spending that software money on something he could do better with (new lappy with it already installed).

Thanks for the responses. I'm real close now to getting my new computer (it's been a long road). I do think I'm going to go ahead and get Win7. It should last me another decade.

My friend had Vista and when Dell done their new buyer's free upgrade thing she upgraded and switched to Windows 7. She has had so many issues and their have been so many bugs that she is regretting the decision.

Well, I have Vista on my system and I hated it initially but the more I hear about Windows 7, the less I regret jumping on the discounted upgrade. Vista is manageable if you throw on enough tweaks!

I am using XP Professional (XP 2, I guess) for years and I rarely got issues with it. I was ever told that XP is the most reliable Windows OS. Though, in most cases, it's good to have the latest version of the OS (except Vista). So, it's better to go for Win 7.
