Default Online business

When you started your online business, what were some of the major problem you encountered? How did you overcome them? One of mine was information overload.

When I first do my online business I wasn’t aware of SEO. I overcome it by researching a lot of ways to do it. It would also help if you would do it as though you are just playing.

That's both the worst and best thing about the Internet. Wew have all the information at our fingertips, but to some extent it can become too much and sometimes contridictary.

I try reading up about subjects, but prefer the proccess of trail and error.

There are so many things I could mention. I think one of the major things I flubbed on was branding my business. I changed the name several times and suffered some loss due to that.

Could you elaborate Machida as to what you mean by that? I do not follow that statement.

Also, I agree with the information overload thing, it is very important to pace yourself accordingly.

Also, like Misty said, some information out there is contradictory, s0 it is important to do what works for you.

I have always wanted to do an online business but I never got around to doing it. Do you need to have a website to do it or just advertise on the ad pages?

My major problem is focus. It is difficult for me to focus on a certain business that I am interested and confident to do. I am always moving from a business to another one.

Me too! Focus is also one of my problems in starting and keeping it mainstream an online business. I just have this thirst of knowledge and ideas just overflows that I always find myself out of focused and wanting to divert on another business. I think the best solution for this is keeping contented and working harder for what is actually going for you. It is not bad to try to educate yourself of other things but 'setting your priorities straight' could keep you on track on whatever online business you have.

That's good advice, thanks. If I run a business which earns me enough money for life, I am pretty sure I will be contented with it. The problem is to find such a business.

I think most people tend to forget that offline or online it is still a business. Many people overlook the fact that since its online there is no need for overhead or a business plan when starting out. I can not think of all the places that barely lasted 6 months before falling flat.
