Success from Social Networking

I'm just amazed but I was watching a story on the news about a business that operates out of a home selling cupcakes via a catering type truck is a huge success and they haven't spent a dime on advertising. All they did was start talking up their business on Facebook and Twitter, and it's worked.

That's great! It just goes to show that if you have a good product and a large enough network of potential customers, you can make it even in an economy like this. Now, if only I could bake...

Yep it is getting more popular day by day.
In my country, the amount of online shops in Facebook is ridiculous.
My rough estimation is hundreds, if not thousands.

It definitely works well if it is something high in demand. I have a photography business but it is not portrait photography and I have sold a few pictures but with the economy the way it has been it's not high on the list of what people are buying right now.

That's the one area of promoting my business that I totally fail in. I've tried a bit but it didn't do anything for my sales. I think my problem is that it's so time consuming to keep up with all the popular sites.
