The Prisoner

Has anyone ever seen the old "The Prisoner". I am still upset over the last episode and was hopping someone might be able to tell me what it all meant. Am I the only one it drove crazy? Well, be seeing you!

I watched the original series and even visited Portmerion in Wales where it was made. There is no answer to the question, "What does it all mean?" but that's what it's all about really, mystery for the sake of it. The viewer just has to decide for himself what could really be happening and in the sixties, it was all about the cold war between the Soviet Union and the West. I haven't watched the remake as I enjoyed the original and remakes are never as good, in my opinion.

I have not seen the remake myself yet. I have been watching the new Dr Who and loved it so part of me has been considering giving the new Prisoner a shot. I really loved that original. I would love to get myself one of those pins that everyone on the island wears. What number would you be?

I have never seen the prisoner but it sounds interesting. Is there anyplace online that I might be able to watch some of the episodes?

There you go. I don't know if they are still doing it but I watched the entire series of "The Prisoner" here. I do not know if you can watch the new one here.

That was one strange show. It was all in the mind of Patrick McGoohan. It was his own form of rebellion, and as has been said, there were no answers except maybe that life repeats itself.

Hrm, that is a very interesting take on it. I can see how he was rebelling from it. One question though. What do you mean when you are talking about life repeating itself?
