Default Creating a website

What do you think is one of the better niche areas to base a website on? I think most of the good topics are already taken.

There will always be ideas for sites but having the right idea at the right time to market it is what will make or break it. Right now many niches have been taken, but trying to put a spin on something old can make it new.

Interesting random niches that are educational, helpful and informative will drive a lot of traffic to your site. It depends on what kind of target you're aiming so they can keep visiting your site page. For example, if you know a lot about cooking, you put good food recipes in your site and you target most female visitors who are also in need of guidance cooking at home.

New niches are being born every day as people and technology evolve and grow. It's simply a matter of being involved enough in those new niches, or being creative enough to spin off of an old one, to get a good website idea going.

People think of something new to base their websites on all the time. Turn your creative thinking mode on and you will see. Something always will come to mind, eventually.

I am trying to decide where would be a good place to "browse" topics or categories and see what things might be interesting and not already flooded.

There is a large number of sites that are all informational, but I gotta say that might be hard to keep up with depending on the topic. Is there one thing you are interested in more than the rest?

Just because a good topic is already taken doesn't mean you cannot create a website about it. In this case, I think quality matters. If you can provide excellent content to better present the topic, there is chance you will beat your competitor.

Yes it certainly has to be fresh and interesting. I visit the sites that are evolving with new content on a daily basis so that there is always something to excite my interest.

Yes, always update your website (or blog) with new, fresh, unique and useful content as often as possible. Some successful blogs are updated everyday or even twice or three times a day.
