Default Consumer Reports on Vitamins

I just read the Consumer Reports on the 12 most dangerous supplements. Luckily the only thing on it we have is Yohmbie Root. Did anyone find out they were taking something in the dirty 12?

Could you post the link please? I do take supplements as does my husband (on my recommendation) so I'd like to know what the latest thinking is about them, despite the fact that the "experts" are always changing their minds!

It may not be a link that can be accessed. Much of the Consumer Reports stuff is locked behind passwords for subscribers. I don't subscribe so I usually don't bother going there. Might try a search because once one magazine has this information, it usually turns up other places pretty quickly.

Was that the one that listed the ones that would be dangerous for someone taking cumidin or high blood pressure medicine? If so I saw it and I don't take anything for high blood pressure so I don't have to worry.

I get the magazine. Sometimes these are ingredients in other things. This is a list for everyone not just people on high blood pressure. Here are the "Dirty Dozen"

Aconite
Bitter Orange
Chaparral
Collodial Silver
Coltsfoot
Comfery
Country Mallow
Germanium
Greater Celandine
Kava
Lobelia
Yohimbe

Oh sorry, I did not even think about that. Yeah the list out of the magazine is not just for people with high blood pressures. For example some of the ones on the list above (thanks macky) have had the FDA release warnings that they cause liver damage (live Kava).

I skimmed through this article just the other day - I don't take any of those supplements, and I think supplements in general are overused. I occasionally take a multivitamin, but that's it.

I take Calcium and vitamin D along with a multi vitamin. I like fish oil as well and that one was on the top 10 best supplements.

Well fortunately I don't think anyone in my family is taking any of those supplements. We mostly just take multi-vitamins and fish oil as well.

Default consumers report on vitamins

Test marketing tell us how consumer behavior about vitamins mostly public like vitamin for weakness .so we should use research products.
