I first saw mention of this plant on the internet ages ago but it was mostly in spam-type messages. Now, though, my local health food shop is advertising it as an aid to weight loss. Has anyone tried it?

No but if I understand correctly, if you have high blood pressure, it can make it worse. I really am leery of using things like this unless they have been throughly investigated. There was a time when they were using injections of something in my area and all of the women were trying it. A lot lost the weight but all of them have put it back on.

Hmm, I know what you mean. The internet advertising about this stated that it's made from a cactus and Oprah used it, but you'd think if a respectable health food shop is now selling it, it would be OK?
