For your needs, you wouldn't require high-powered specs. Even brandless PC's will do and that doesn't mean they're inferior -- they're just not advertised, of course

I checked out some generic (non brand) pcs today and they had everything I needed and at very reasonable prices. You should visit your local PC center and see what they offer.

if you buy HP laptop, u will be stressful because of the battery life.
u charge it untill it's full but u can use it for 2 hours.
i recommend u DELL, or Asus.
Dont know why, but those are my fav. brand for laptop computer.

AIO - All in one PC

You get this for $600 or less. You don't need anything yet but just look for AIO's now and you'll have more than of what you need.

That is all. I am not doing any visual effects or programming with my computer.

What do I really need that I do not have to buy a new computer in two years?
Any advice from you would be nice.
I think you have to make a DIY pc or have one assembled per your specs.
