Default Pasta cooker

I've seen all kinds of pasta cookers advertised over the last few years, but they haven't really received good reviews. I'm now burner-less, meaning I can't even boil water. Does anyone know of a pasta cooker that really works and doesn't require a burner?

Good grief - burnerless? How do you survive without a stove? I would go mad if I had to microwave everything all the time. Could you get yourself a little hot plate? Usually you can find one with 2 burners reasonably cheap. I would think that would serve you better than buying extra gadgets.

The first two burners went out a few years ago. These last two have been working, until it took 30 minutes to boil water that never did boil. I'm probably going to get some kind of portable burner. In the meantime, I'm just having to go without.

I have this vegetable steamer for the microwave but it also doubles to work for pasta if you do it right. You could always get a dutch oven and heat water in the oven itself.

I don't think I'm cook enough for a Dutch oven. I like simple things and I'm not really fancy in anything. I've looked around now and I found a burner as cheap as $15, so I really think that's my answer.
