Default People Wanting Something for Nothing

I just spent the last twenty minutes listening to a friend whine about ads on a particular part of his website, put their by the host. They are there as he is getting the use of their SSL certificate for free.

He doesn't get it and wants the ads removed. I put it plain as day-with a person like this, do you walk away, slap them, or try and set them right? Answers on a postcard please.

It's simple - pay for his own SSL certificate and he can get rid of the ads. I'm voting for the walking away, although my first thought was a good Gibb-smack. Unfortunately, you can rarely get through to someone with that mentality and it's more aggravation than it's worth.

I do not bother to argue with people anymore over things like that. I sometimes think they just want to hear themselves talk or like to argue with others. No matter why they do it I agree with four eyes, it is tough to get through to someone like that.

Yeah, it really is. I've made it clear that I in no way want to hear him talking about that again, I'm just past caring. It's selfish and self centered, and annoying.

Slap them! and then set them right. I can't stand people that complain all the time, regardless if they have reason to complain or not. He doesn't have a reason to complain. I would have just told him!

Oh I did. He either didn't want to hear it or wasn't getting it. I'm not sure which but I have my suspicions as he is a very stubborn fella.
