How many is too many?

I know we hear stories all the time of people who just have a ton of kids to collect a check from the gov each month for them, bio parents or even adoptive ones, but how many really is too many? When its a family member of your own, what do you do, step up and tell them or keep your mouth shut? We are dealing with this now and so far I have done the later, but this past holiday weekend I was really debating saying something or not.

I think if you can support those kids and take care of them why not. It's the ones that keep having them that can't take care of them that really irritates me. I hate to see kids doing without!

I have an issue with this. My next door neighbour has seven, on the government, and her eldest daughter is 20 with three kids. Her second daughter thankfully has sense, has pronounced her mother selfish and has joined the army. I hope she gets her break, I so do!

I have three and I am busy as a beaver. I knew a lady who had 7 kids, 3 hers and 4 that were her sisters. Turns out the sister was a crack head and the kids were better off with this lady. I didn't know that and thought about turning her in but after I found out what the situation was I just felt sorry for this lady and figured I was happy to pay tax dollars to be used to help a poor woman who's crack head sister left her with 4 kids after she had three of her own. Still I think there should be mandatory "fixing" of men and women who keep having kids but are proven to not be taking care of them.

I think this is one of those things you just have to deal with you don't ever won't to get into a situation where the government is mandating how many kids you are allowed to have this is not communist China and you don't want it to become that either.

I really don't think this is a widespread problem. I don't know where you all live but where I am, the government welfare doesn't enable you to live high off the hog, no matter how many kids you have. Anyone who would have a baby just to get another $150 from welfare has a lot more serious mental issues...lol.
