Default Upgrading to the iPhone 4

I have an iPhone 3GS and absolutely love it, but there's no way I would drop another couple hundred dollars (or more) just to have Apple's newest toy. It seems like that's precisely what a lot of people are doing - paying $300+ to get the latest iPhone incarnation even though the outdated one still works just fine and shares most of the same features.

Silly, right?
