Default What's so great about the iPod, anyway?

I don't have one and I never plan on getting one, honestly. I don't like that the music files can only work with Apple products; I prefer to use an mp3 player which has many style options to choose from and the files can be used, well, anywhere!

What do you mean by you don't like the music files can only work with Apple products? I dont get it.

I personally really like iPod! Their simplicity, built quality is the best in the market today. You just compare their nice and sturdy aluminum design with the cheap lookin plastic cover like Sony or Zune has! Yuck.

Also, it has the best software for purchasing and adding music to your unit called iTunes! No other software beats iTunes!

My biggest beef with this would be the cost! I'm not a youngster so I really don't have to have music with me at all times, so this has no appeal to me in any case, but why does it have to cost so much?

They cost so much because they have the best quality. In my opinion, I'd better get the $149.99 8GB nano than other cheaper brand of music player (Sony, Zune etc). It will last longer and better built quality. iPods also has bigger salvage value.

Again, it all depends on your love in the music. If you don't listen to music very much, why even in the market for iPod? A radio will fit you just fine!

I love music, but I don't think the cost is so high because of the quality - I think it's hgh because of the brand name and because in general, EVERYTHING Apple makes (iPods, iMacs, laptops) is overpriced. I don't like iTunes, and I don't like that I can't transfer music from iTunes to other programs I may want to use.
