I just got a Mac (woo hoo) for Christmas, and I'm trying to figure out how to transfer everything from my PC to my Mac. Does anyone know how I can do this easily?

You got a external hard disk? Copy all your Windows file to your external hard disk then copy again from your external hard disk to your Mac...

You cannot copy application...

I do have an external hard drive, but it's formatted to the mac, and partitioned. Any ideas given that? I would love to move things, but am afraid I might break it.

Get a program called PC2MAC. It's very easy to transfer files and all that stuff from PC to Mac. If you are student its only cost you $14.99. That program easily transfers your files and their roots to your Mac.

Anyway, congratulations on your Mac. You are gonna love it!
