I use Elance when I need design services done. You can usually post your idea and sample pictures if you have any. You then invite potential employees if you like what is in their portfolio and they can make a bid. Or potential employees can propose how they will accomplish your goals and make their bids.

I love it as I have created some on going working relationships from Elance.

You can also try digital point odesk or getafreelancer. They all have great artist members who can bid on the work for your website logo.

Are you getting a logo designed? A good option other than getting it designed by a pros is using software to design it yourself. I used The Logo Creator to make my website's logo and header. It's easy to use. It even provides several premade templates you can use.

I have come to hate DP lately, you can never get a hold of the person you need to resolve issues - even their email and phone service (when they had a phone listed for contact) did not work. Elance or getafreelander would be my two votes.

Well, you can try brands-up logo design.. It's a service design from Indonesia.. The result was pretty good i guess..

The absolute best designer I've used is named Karl Warren. He is fantastic with just about anything design related. You can find his work and more information on his website, eCoverNinja - High Impact Web Graphic Artist (he does a lot more than ecovers).
