Emotions

I'm a fairly emotional person (sometimes I need a good cry, or a hug, and I'll own up to that) but I always try to keep my emotions in check. I don't like to let overwhelming emotions get in the way of rationality. I hate losing control of my thoughts or behavior, even in minor ways.

Are women too emotional in general, or is that just a baseless stereotype? Does anyone feel the same way about emotion as I do?

Nah it's just a baseless stereotype. Not every woman is emotional like that.

I will admit that my emotions follow my cycle. I hate that they do, and I just don't have any control over it. It makes no sense and can make life difficult for a couple of days a month.

Well, I cry at the drop of a hat, but then I always have. It came in handy when I did amateur dramatics but it can be a bit embarrassing when I start to blubber if a sad song comes on the radio or there is a sad advert on TV! It's just something I have to live with and I can empathise with people very easily because of it I think.

I am a very emotional woman and at times I really wish I could turn it off. I hate crying in front of people but sometimes I let the situation get the best of me. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
